An old man approached the bus stop
I realized with a blush that he had been talking to me
And took out my earbuds.
“-but then I remembered that the bus schedule was sometimes off!” He said.

And I agreed. Whatever it was that he said, I had to nod
For he was old, which is another word for wise.

We continued to talk for some time, it actually felt like a pretty long time
Because his stories were boring
But I was being very nice. And only put one of my earbuds back in
So I could listen to him through the right ear and nod every once in a while.

He told me of his dear wife, his children, his successful career
How he had traveled, what he had seen, and how no matter where you go
People are the same everywhere.

There were valuable lessons in there
Somewhere
Hidden under the kind of weird smell that old people have.

But I’ll miss him.

Think his name was Drew or something.

Who are you : To assume you know

To assume that you are those : Special ones?

Who are you : To believe to know

To believe He chose : Us?
