I step aside and hold a door for this legendary heavy glow,
rolling up hard and easy, in through the doors,
leaving hard men at the door, radio’s in ears; posturing, pruning.
He is coming here because of his flair,
Because of the no little love,
the wash out show of hands,
The bottom of your eye.

He is dead at home,
Past a broken bone, and now,
Here to cook for you, the camera, the millions displaced, without borders,
He will show you what he can do with a knife,
Sashimi, Pears shaped like Madonna, courgette flowers,
beef you can see through.

He starts by making a dragon out of a croissant,
This from the man they used to say rode horses,
On tomatoes,
This from the man who built on children,
And broke butterflies.
