Let me win a moment in this world crunch,
just a touch of normalcy caressing her,
I am a man wanting the more of her body,
loneliness extinguished with her great rush,
trees swaying in the night wind,
leaves hanging on for the last drop of nectar,
roots deep in the earth
straining muscle and vein,
your roar in the distant clouds building
into a storm,
I too
have a storm,
I can hold you off for another moment,
my shout a small spear in your eye,
gasping
I see every part of her branded into my mind,
she will forgive me,
will remember fondly my squeeze,
your wrath a whip,
I love her before your strike,
now have me,
take your pleasure in my pain,
she sleeps now under the tree,
a grass pillow, stars giving their light,
the darkness mine,
once again.
